A Step in the Right Direction

Dip your toe in...

For quite some time I've been getting peeved with my journal. Because it's a LiveJournal, well more than anything else. I set these pages up through boredom and a desire to write, or encourage myself to write more. I don't have a problem with online journals (or I wouldn't be here would I?), but in recent weeks I've been pondering moving elsewhere to write *other stuff*. Yes, yes I know, I have my other journals too, but I've been fancying a nice wee weblog. One I have more control over design wise for starters and perhaps with a different purpose.

Any of you readers out there got any suggestions for cheap (or free) weblog hosting and software? I had a look at Weblogs Compendium's Blog Hosting list, but recommendations are welcome, as I don't want to end up writing on an unreliable system. I tried blogspot when I was more of a novice with thatInterweb and found it wasn't entirely compatible with my OS at that point.

Your thoughts, people?

I have just bought, from amazon, Robert Walser's - Jakob Von Gunten, a book about a man who decides to completely remove himself from all responsibility by becoming the total servant.

I am intrigued to see how this is explored.

A sorry looking dog wagged its tail at me as i said hello
A ginger cat smiled at me
My washing machine got fixed for a mere £45
I slept in my bed while it was light with my zorretta cat while it rained and it poured
I listened to the Archers half heartedly
The sky is dark and blue and the tenements are bathed in gold
Stars of The Lid are my background
I ate chocolate

Must be old age. Am i doing too much or too little? Would more sleep help? Or more exercise? Or an i beyond help?
